Yes it is finally time to get this program moving!  Below is all the information you need to prepare for the new Cherry Creek School District hockey team.  Please note that if you have any questions regarding the hockey program you can contact either Jason Wilkins (jwilkins10@cherrycreekschools.org or 720-554-2461) or Ralph Bammert ( rbammert@q.com or 303-882-7090).

The first step in the process or registering for the Creek hockey team is for all student athletes to turn in their completed athletic packet to the school in which they attend.  The $90 athletic fee will be included in the cost to be on the team.  The athletic packet must be turned in, including the physician signature required for the physical, by November 6th.   The student will then be added to the list of players that have completed the proper paperwork.  The registration packet may be submitted any time before November 6th and we recommend turning in the packet ASAP. 

For student athletes who live outside the district and attend a school without hockey you need to contact Jason Wilkins at Cherry Creek High School to discuss your athletic participation.  

An informational meeting for parents will be held on November 7th from 7:00-9:00 pm at South Suburban Family Sports in the large conference room.  Please plan on attending that meeting if your student athlete is going to try out for the team.

Tryouts will be a multi-day skate.  The first day of tryouts will be November 10th (more detailed information on times and location will be forthcoming on this website and the Creek Hockey Facebook page).  Two additional tryouts will take place the week of November 12th.  It is important for all parents and student athletes to understand that ice hockey is a cut sport and not every student athlete who trys out will make the team.  The final team will be determined and announces on or before November 17th. There will be a tryout fee of approximately $60 in order to cover the ice time.

Creek Hockey is a participant funded program, which means the sport will recieve no funding from Cherry Creek High School or the Cherry Creek School District.  All costs associated with the team, including uniforms, team travel and ice time (practices and games) will be funded by the families of those players on the team.  The praticipation fee has been broken in to two payments of $800.  This does not include the player package.  The first payment will be due immediately after the team is announced.  The second payment will be due by December 1st.  Please make checks payable to CCHS and in the memo line please write account #173.  You may also pay by credit card, but there will be a 3% usage fee.  Payments need to be made to the Cherry Creek High School Athletics Office at Cherry Creek High School.
